Edward G. Redovan, M.D.
Dr. Redovan is a board-certified ophthalmologist and surgeon practicing in New Castle since 1990. Dr. Redovan focuses on cataract surgery, glaucoma, refractive surgery and medical retina. A Western Pennsylvania native, Dr. Redovan obtained his undergraduate training at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. He earned his medical degree at Temple University and completed a general surgery residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Redovan completed his ophthalmology residency at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia.
Michele M. Shober, D.O.
Dr. Shober is a board-certified ophthalmologist, an osteopathic fellow in the American Academy of Ophthalmology and an eye surgeon practicing in New Castle. Dr. Shober, doctor of osteopathic medicine, emphasizes wellness and preventive health care. An osteopathic doctor is a fully licensced physician emphasizing a holistic approach and utilizing hands on diagnostic techniques and treatments.
She joined the practice in 1995, and practices comprehensive ophthalmology, including cataract surgery, complete eye exams, medical and emergency eye exams, glaucoma diagnsosis, treatment and laser surgery, post cataract laser surgery, and eye lid surgery. She has lectured for both local community events and for national professional ophthalmology symposiums. She is the medical director for the Lawrence County Surgical Center. She obtained her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed an internship and several years of additional training, including an internship at St. Lukes's Allentown Hospital and an ophthalmology residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, as well as an anterior segment surgery fellowship with Dr. Steven B. Siepser of Paoli, Pennsylvania.
